The sheriff and the lead brought me into an interrogation room and literally interrogated me. There was never a call back. I found out later they already had someone else for the position and never intended to hire outside of the department.

The questions were confusing and poorly worded. It was on par with "yes, or no, have you stopped beating your kids?" but I think it was designed in a way I would fail.

The prison called about two weeks after submission of the application. The Warden asked a few questions about criminal history, went over my COMPASS test results, then spoke about the prison. More about him selling the position than me selling myself as an applicant. It was a very simple interview.
