      Interview

I was referred to a position at Tulip and initially excited to learn more. Unfortunately, my experience with the recruiting team left a negative impression. The recruiter confirmed our first meeting 24 hours in advance but did not attend. After I followed up, they apologized and rescheduled, confirming again — but missed the second call as well. Having this happen twice showed a lack of respect for candidates’ time and professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable applying to Tulip again.

      Question 1

The recruiter missed both calls so there were no questions.

      Interview

The interview process at Tulip was one of the more thoughtful I've been through. Every interviewer was engaged and came prepared -- conversations felt substantive. The questions were challenging but fair, and it was clear the team cares about finding the right fit rather than just filling a seat. Even the technical portion felt practical and relevant to the actual work. I came away with a solid sense of the culture and what the role would actually involve. Overall solid interview.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tulip Interfaces (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Phone screen, hiring manager call, in person. The team seemed very smart and the questions standard. However after investing hours onsite, on the phone, driving through traffic and taking time off work, it would have been appropriate to offer a more personal response than “we are not moving forward with you application” via email from the recruiter. Everyone is a candidate at some point in their career and I found this canned response to be disrespectful to the effort put in. As soon as I walked in I knew the job and culture wasn’t something I’d pursue, but I was respectful and it’s a shame Tulip couldn’t be bothered to treat candidates the same.
