Twenty Over Ten interview questions

An initial phone interview went well. I have over 10 years experience in content marketing for financial advisors, so I was fairly confident. The interview was followed with a rather extensive writing assignment which took over a day to complete. A few days later, I received a boilerplate rejection email. I saw later that they hired someone right out of college with little experience.

First interview great. Friendly. Waited forever to hear back (weeks). Then they wanted me to do a writing assignment. Ok, although I don't like when companies do this as I feel they are getting ideas for free. Wrote a great assignment. 2nd interview via video w/multiple people. The higher-up marketing lady left during interview and I thought it was very rude and unprofessional. Waited 2 weeks after and had to reach out just form them to tell me no. The job is only 40-50k; it's not for a surgeon. Interview process took too long. Don't recommend. Don't ask unemployed candidates to do an assignment unless you will pay them or hire them. Don't walk out on candidates as it's rude.
