Started with screening call with HR, then a meeting with the hiring manager and other team members. Was asked about company values. The format otherwise was casual and inspired good conversation.
Interviewed with the recruiting representative first. She was a delight, perfect communication, highly responsive, etc. Next step was a zoom interview with the hiring manager. That person showed up more than 15m late for a 30m interview, and then asked me only a few questions that didn't seem relevant at all to the role in question (mostly things about a previous employer's business model). It was strange for sure. Never heard anything back after that. Completely ghosted.

Question 1
Typical stuff, but as mentioned above, unclear how it was related to the role they were hiring for.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Twist Bioscience
Interview
Poor communication. Had phone screen with recruiter where they read a very long overview of the company. Interview went well otherwise and we seemed like a good fit. Next steps were to set up a call with the hiring manager but they never followed up or offered explanation. Have been interviewing at many places and this one stood out as the least professional/prepared. Other places have cancelled interviews with me hours before, but always offered context and have been very communicative. I read other reviews on Glassdoor that this might be the case here but had hoped things were different since past reviews were dated. Would not apply to other roles at this company in the future.
