(I was referred by a friend, she passed my resume along.) I got emails from my potential boss, which then turned into "phone interviews". After doing those calls and a couple "test" pieces they decided to fly me out to their Cincinnati location (where I was applying) for an in-person interview.
I met with my potential boss, his whole design team, as well as someone in HR. Everything was amazing. I felt like I already got hired. I was even being shown around the building. "This will be your desk. This is where you'll probably eat lunch." I was even told to sit in on an important meeting.
The questions I was asked were the same I was asked on the previous phone calls. They seemed a little more in-depth when I was talking to HR. I was asked how soon can I start (which would be hard to answer considering I wanted to relocate from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Cincinnati, Ohio) - I told them I could feasibly move within 2 weeks of getting a job offer. They were more than excited with that prospect.
I flew back to my hometown, and wanted to know what the next steps were going to be. I emailed my potential boss to see what needed to be done.
*** "thanks so much for making out here! my next steps are to get something in writing from HR - which i should have had yesterday.... after that, i will send you some paperwork, and we will take it from there. my guess is, by the end of the week, you should have your formal offer letter, and from there, you can pretty much decide when you'd like to start. i know it's not official - but, welcome to the team!
i'll be in touch ASAP." ****
This is what I received. I was ecstatic! How could I not be?! Right?
Then, there are many emails from my end, but I never seem to get a response. I try to sound interested in the position, but not too eager. Has something happened?
75 days later, from the initial post-interview email response, 80 days from the interview.. 4 days from the last email I sent... This is what i received...
**** "all i can say regarding this matter is that we had to move forward.
thanks."****
I still have no idea what happened.
