I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UTAK (Manila, Manila) in Jan 2022
Interview
The interview process would challenge your skills but I believe that it is for the best. Good interview experience. You will learn a lot. Thank you. keep it up. More Power
They have an unusually long and demanding hiring process:
1. Pre-Interview - you must submit a video answering few questions before even speaking with hr staff
2. Initial Interview - with hr staff
3. Panel Interview - with potential team
4. Final Interview - with the CEO
Despite this long process, they only offer an average salary with long working hours —10-hour shifts, flexible scheduling, and potential weekend work. These important details are not included from the job post, leaving you unaware of the full picture until later.
Aside from that, you are expected to review "company materials" beforehand, more like studying the company’s products/services, as this knowledge will be tested during the hiring process. This preparation is usually done during "onboarding/new-employee orientation" —not for someone who hasn't even been offered the role yet.
Then while the company’s product is designed to streamline business transactions, their internal hiring process seems to contradict this value with its complexity and length.
The only advantage from this company is the 90% remote setup, believing it promotes work-life balance. But because of the 2 hours daily overtime, it feels as though the 2 hours saved from commuting are simply taken back through the mandatory overtime.
Personally, I think there are other companies offering remote work with better pay, standard working hours, and more efficient hiring processes and really promotes healthier work-life balance and are worth exploring if you value fair compensation for your time and effort.
