      I interviewed at Unily

      Interview

I applied for this role on their website as an ex colleague had just had an interview themselves and said the job looked really good. It took 2 weeks for Unily to email me to say that they wanted to speak to me. The talent acquisition/ hiring manager was really nice. Asked me the standard recruiting questions and was really understanding about why I wanted to leave my current role. I heard back a week later saying they wanted to speak with me again alongside the woman who would be my boss. She was very scary and intimidating, to the point that I realised that I didn't want her to be my boss and decided I didn't want the job but kept going with my interview. During the interview I emphasised the importance training and learning is to me, and the manager said that its a lot of independent learning and not so much training which is a bit of a red flag to me. The hiring manager piped up to say that they've just hired a product trainer and that they're improving their training and the manager completely changed her answer. I heard back a few days later saying I didn't get it.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Unily (London, England) in Apr 2022

      Interview

The interview process was friendly and relaxed. There were 3 stages of the interview, the first was a friendly conversation with a member of the recruitment team. The second was a more skills-based interview with a member of the recruitment team and team manager. The third was planned to be a presentation style following a brief, but I pulled out before this due to another offer. At no point during the interview process were any trick questions asked. I was an internal referral made by another employee, but the reference to this was kept very brief and professional, and the focus was only on me and my skills. The only negative would be the length of time taken to receive updates and book in the next stages, but it was explained to me that this was due to the busyness of the team and holidays.
