      I applied online. I interviewed at Upvest in Apr 2026

      The first was a call with recruiter, she was very professional and explained the complete hiring process. Asked me standard HR questions about my background, how soon can I join, target compensation etc. Next was live coding round. They gave me a pub sub template. I had to complete it and then make it fast. So I applied multi threading. Although I was able to complete it but it affected the message processing order. I tried to fix it but ran out of time and unfortunately got rejected.

      Question 1

      A pub-sub model where 3 message is being sent to two subscibers, no topics, so every subscriber will receive every message. Complete the template for an in memory implementation. Then make it fast by multi threading. The trick is to spawn one thread per subscriber instead of one thread per message. If you have one thread per subscriber then then message order will remain preserved by default.
