      Recruiter/Sourcer Interview

      Feb 9, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at UrbanEngineer

      Interview

A pretty quick GoogleMeet interview. I remember thinking it was very striking how quickly I was offered the job (on the spot, when can you start). I learned after working there that this is pretty standard with most applicants.

      Question 1

What's your Zodiac sign? Tell me about your work history.

A new grad with no experience and only academic work on their resume, along with perhaps an internship or a very brief unrelated experience, can't tell me much about their experience because they have none. I am an optimist about people, sometimes when you believe the best in everyone you can be blindsided. When hiring people just out of college, I take them at their word, I size them up, we meet to see if there is a good rapport, and then we jump in! Asking their sign is just lightening the load of pressure, it always brings a smile. If you are struck by getting hired because an employer believes in you during the meeting, I would say accept your value, don't question an employer who chose to see it and give you a chance.
