I had the interview on a Friday afternoon. Much as I can understand that it was a dress-down day, I would have expected them to be professional at least . I was picked up from the reception by two people who were barely dragging themselves to the interview meeting room - they were not welcoming at all, did not smile even once or tried to make the environment feel slightly comfortable or welcoming. I was told the interview would be fairly informal - it was more like a chat in a bar realistically speaking. Throughout the interview they looked like the last thing they wanted to do was hold the interview as well as the last place they wanted to be was there. That instantly said a lot about both the company and it's employees - to think I had read reviews of Vax being a good company to work for and that it even won the 14th place in the Sunday Time's best 100 Companies to work for in 2014.
I can pretty much summarise my interview as : What a waste of my afternoon off! Completely unprofessional, disorganised, no manners.
I was called by the recruiter on the following Monday with very positive feedback but was told that they are not really recruiting for the position anymore. Not that I would have even considered it after the horror of the actual interview.
