Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience
I recently went through a one-way video interview process, and I must say the experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
The process started with an automated request to complete a one-way video interview, where I had to record my responses to pre-set questions. While I understand that many companies use this format, it was disappointing to not receive any feedback afterward. Once I submitted my video, there was complete silence—no acknowledgment of receipt, no updates, and no feedback of any kind.
What made this experience even worse was the lack of any way to follow up. There was no contact information provided and no avenue for inquiries. Essentially, I felt completely "ghosted" by the company. As a candidate, this lack of communication and transparency is highly unprofessional, especially considering the time and effort invested in completing the interview.
A simple email acknowledging receipt or providing feedback, whether positive or negative, would have been appreciated. It's disheartening to put yourself out there and not even receive the courtesy of a response. Based on this experience, I am left with a very negative impression of the company's hiring process. Clear communication and respect for candidates go a long way, and unfortunately, this company failed to deliver on both fronts.
No wonder they have been hiring for the same position for a long time now
