It took a while to get an interview date and time that worked or both the interviewer and myself, and the interviewer was pretty uncommunicative throughout. Once we hopped on the call, he walked me through the process of the interview and then asked me if I lived in Los Angeles. I told him that I didn't, but that I was very willing to relocate, a sentiment I had also expressed in my application and cover letter. After hearing I wasn't in the area, he told me that the interview was over because I wasn't eligible for the role. When I asked him a clarifying question he was pretty rude and condescending. I understand being ineligible for the role because of my current location, however, I don't understand why I would be given an interview (and dragged around for weeks as the interviewer would barely email me back about the dates I was available) if I didn't meet the the baseline criteria.
