I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verily (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
The interview process starts with a phone screen, where you are asked a simple programming question, and have to answer on a shared doc. If you pass the phone screen they bring you on-site for a panel of interviews by 5 or 6 different people, they are either high level design questions, or more technical algorithm questions. I was brought in for a second day of interviews because they felt they didnt get a good enough sense of my technical skills the first time.

Question 1
I was asked about my experience with MongoDB and to compare and contrast the tradeoffs of non-relational databases and SQL databases.
The interview process was straightforward. After the initial talk with the recruiter. I was scheduled for an interview the following week. The interview was to solve a linked list leetcode style problem. After that interview, I was scheduled for a power day where I had to do 4 coding leetcode style interviews. Some of the topics were DFS, one problem resembled the leetcode problem about container with the most water. And 2 of them were problems that was vaguely stated and I haven’t seen before. And the last interview was a team
Fit/ behavioral
I applied online. I interviewed at Verily (San Francisco, CA) in May 2026
Interview
I went through multiple rounds of the interview process including 5 interviews in person at the office for 4 hours. Everything went well and I was able to solve everything with plenty of left over time. Seems like they aren't even looking for someone for this position and are just doing it for statistics. This position has been open for over 3 months which is impossible for the bay area. After all I waited 3 weeks to get this response.

Froze up during the technical interview over something small. Interviewer just silently watched. There was not any room for engagement in asking questions. Completely on me tho, I blanked on basic Java.
