      Marketing Director Interview

      Feb 26, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dunboyne
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Village Vets (Dunboyne) in Jan 2025

      Interview

I had an initially positive interview experience with Village Vets—the team were welcoming, and I was genuinely excited about the role and company mission. However, after multiple interviews, a presentation, and an in-person final round, I was completely ghosted. Despite being told I would receive an update “ASAP,” weeks passed with no response. It became clear that the role likely didn’t receive budget approval, but at this level, a basic courtesy update should have been given. The process also underestimated my understanding of these decisions—candidates know that things change, but clear communication is a sign of respect.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologise for the lack of communication and any frustration it caused. At Village Vets, we strive to create a positive experience for all candidates, and we regret that we fell short in this instance. The process for this role was unfortunately delayed and only concluded in mid-February. While candidates were reached out to, we recognise that we should have ensured that everyone received feedback. Your comments are valuable, and we take them seriously—we are committed to improving our recruitment process and will make sure that all candidates receive clear and timely updates moving forward. We truly appreciate your time and effort throughout the interview process and wish you all the best in your career.
