I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Virtuos in Aug 2025
Interview
One phone screening from the recruiter, who briefed me about the company and their CTO's new vision. I was initially very excited, since the recruiter specifically repeated that the CTO did not want a manager who's a corporate type that sits as a cog in the wheel. CTO wanted someone who could bring people together, and take the initiative towards a better future instead of just waiting for things to happen. Then, I got a round with 3 different leads, who each turned out to want the exact opposite, and all 3 leads kept pressing me to choose either AI, solution architect, or PMO. Finally, despite the recruiter's constant reassurance that this is a global company with a good multicultural setup, the leads interviewing me want me to speak in Chinese to "test" my fluency. This is ideally best if you are chinese and already in the ecosystem to get a favourable referral.
Similar to other interviewee's experience as well, communication ended/ghosted as soon as the call ended, so just move on.
