TIMELY. SPECIFIC. HUMAN. I applied and received an interview request within 24 hours. The talent acquisition specialist (Katie) was so wonderful to speak to and represented VA in the best way possible explaining what she loves about working there, the role, the team, and the workload. As a candidate, I was able to get a clear picture of what would be expected of me within the first 3-6 months and beyond. After a very thorough interview, we discussed next steps (sending my resume and her notes to the hiring manager) and what I should do if I did not hear back from her in a timely manner. Within 4 hours of our conversation, I received a non-generic response back letting me know that I unfortunately would not be advancing to the next round. I was given a very specific reason why I was not selected and a truly heartfelt compliment about my character. I wish all employers would be this way. It left me feeling very positive about the organization and my experience. If another position does come up again, I would gladly apply.
