I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vitol S.A. (Geneva) in Feb 2025
Interview
Very long interview with 4 steps, starting from online test with python test and programming questions. Then a live coding interview and a case-study. Last one with manager. In general no good communication

Question 1
Describe your previous experiences, particularly those relevant to this role. Can you share a stressful situation you've faced and how you managed it?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vitol S.A. in Jan 2022
Interview
Recruiter from an agency contacted me about a python role at Vitol. The process starts with an online tech assessment. In my opinion this assessment was pretty ridiculous. It was very syntax heavy, it was python and SQL. This test is not easy.
Somehow I did well on the test and was sent to the next round which is a technical interview with one of the developers. This interview was actually pretty easy and fun. You are asked about basic python functions, structures, etc. Might be asked some questions on Pandas library. Refresh on python basics/intermediates, like sets/generators/exceptions etc.
After this interview I was told by the recruiter that they had positive feedback and would get back to me soon. A week later though unfortunately they told me I didn't have enough experience. Pretty ridiculous as they wasted a ton of my time, they could've just rejected me from the beginning if I didn't have enough experience.
