I applied through other source. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at VividCloud
Interview
Super conversational, only 3 rounds. The first two rounds were with the recruiting manager and the HR VP. Both had great insight on the company and were really fun to chat with. The last round is a panel chat onsite usually at their new headquarters building in Brunswick. I really enjoyed chatting with everyone. They place a lot of focus on trying to find the right project for you, so it can take some time and they are very transparent about the timeline which I appreciated. I would rather work somewhere like this that actually tries to match me with the project that suits my professional goals best, instead of throwing me at a project that I wouldn't enjoy just because I have the right skills for it on my resume. VividCloud actually listened to what I was looking for, and although it took some time to get there, they matched me with a project that I am really enjoying.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked questions like what I was passionate about and where I saw myself in the next 5 years professionally. They also asked about my technical background and we discussed times that I had issues on projects and how I overcame them. Very conversational though, it was refreshing.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at VividCloud in Aug 2021
Interview
Was reached out to by recruiter online. Process took over 1 month.
Initial phone interview was with recruiter. Short/simple screening talk where they mostly spoke about the company and what they're looking for and what projects/roles are open. Lasted about 20 minutes.
Second phone interview was scheduled for the next week but was abruptly cancelled and rescheduled. Call was with with HR, basically reiterated everything the first recruiter said and answered some of my questions. Also lasted only 20-30 minutes.
Third (and final) 2 hour video chat was scheduled via MS teams with various department leads and the COO. The day of, I sat in the chat waiting room for 15+ minutes past the start time. Called Recruiter and was informed my interview meeting noticed was "dropped" from everyone's calendars. Interview was then rescheduled for over a week later. Actual call went well, most questions were general and about prior experience/projects. Despite constant assurance that this was for a remote role, COO seemed unhappy at the end of the call after asking if I'd be willing to relocate to their Brunswick, ME location and I replied with not likely.
After interview I was told I'd hear back in about 2 days. It's been over 3 weeks and I have not heard back and my email to the recruiter asking for feedback was also ignored. If you value your time and don't want to work for a dysfunctional organization I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
