I wish I would have read the reviews here before I applied. Like many other reviews here, I took their take home coding exercise. I worked out what I thought was an extremely good solution. It ran on all my tests, and had a O(N) time complexity. It took me 3 or so hours but I felt confident it would get my foot in the door. I received a canned email response about 20 minutes after I submitted it. Mind you I submitted my coding exercise at 5PM West Coast time so it wasn't exactly the middle of the work day. The response was basically "You did great but we didn't think you fit exactly, sorry we won't tell you why you are rejected because you did because you really did great." I had a feeling it was a canned response, and my suspicions are confirmed reading the other reviews here. I would have been completely fine if they talked to me like a human, and told me why they are rejecting me. Even if it was something like "We wanted to see better programming style with go". But this is completely outrageous. Honestly I would have preferred a short rejection over this obviously canned response. Honestly I don't think I received one email from them that wasn't a template. Completely unprofessional. They need to get their stuff together.
