Shocking to get a standard rejection email after doing all the rounds, presenting a case to the panel, building a demo, and meeting the CEO and HR. For a company that prides itself on and values "Open/Direct Feedback" and "Kind candor," the last thing I was expecting was a standard system email.
This is understandable in the first/CV round, but after spending hours coming to the office to meet the team, I found this nothing short of shocking, and asking for feedback after all this just to be ghosted. Yikes!
Otherwise, I found the company's culture to be filled with very smart people, so it's a strange juxtaposition. I honestly think the company has a very bright future, but there is no way they can do this to candidates and actually build a sustainable, long-term business. People pay attention to this kind of stuff.
