      Account Manager Interview

      Jun 12, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Norwood, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Votacall (Norwood, MA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

I applied for the position through my college job board and I quickly received an email asking if I could come in for an interview the up coming week. I drove the two hours from school to their office in Norwood and met for an interview. The interview was relaxed, we went over my resume and I was asked few of the typical behavioral questions. The interview was very short, probably lasting about 10 minutes. After the interview, I wrote a thank you email expressing my excitement. After two weeks, I received another email asking if I could come in for a second interview to meet with someone else. At this point, it was a busy month with finals at college, but I of course made the two hour drive again. I sat and spoke with someone and we went over my resume again. The interview was very short and relaxed again. I left the interview with confidence, but I understood that there were others interviewing as well. That same week I graduated college and I patiently waited by my laptop hoping a response would appear through my email in any second. After two weeks went by, I emailed the company politely asking for an update, as well as expressing my interest again; I never received a response. It kinda hurts to end college on a high note, and to slowly realize that not only did you not get the position, but no one cared enough to tell you. Please, in the future, all it takes is a "Sorry, we decided to go with another candidate" response. I would have been totally cool with that and I would have appreciated the experience.
