The interview process seemed pretty streamlined - two interviews and a project/assessment. After completing all of these and being a final candidate, they reached out to my references (and asked for more than the 3 they originally asked for). They then asked me to have another interview coded as "an informal discussion". This was just an interview rehashing previous projects that I had already discussed. After going through these extra hurdles, they sent a generic rejection email weeks later that they probably sent to candidates who didn't make it past the first round, telling me that they had many qualified candidates and to keep checking the website for new job openings. It felt cold and careless. Additionally, not once was salary ever discussed throughout the entire process.
