Wenham Carter interview questions

I was approached by one of the recruiters via Linkedin. The screening was fine, basic questions you'd expect. However.. I was under the impression my profile would be shared to their client, a week passes by and the recruiter is requesting letters from my references which is usually done during the offer stage. Keep in mind I only did the screening, never met their client or even did a first interview.
