WestPac Wealth Partners interview questions

The interview process is structured but very straightforward. The first interview was mainly about getting to know each other—learning about the company, its direction, and then sharing my own background, goals, and what I was looking to accomplish. I appreciated that they were very frank and didn’t try to “sell” me on the job or make it sound like easy money. They made it clear that this career is challenging, but with hard work, it can also be extremely rewarding. Later interviews focused more on discussing how I might build a business —not in a pushy way or by selling to friends and family, but by building a true marketing plan. They emphasized working with associations, centers of influence, and other professional connections to create a business that lasts. That stood out to me, since other firms often just want you to burn through your personal contacts. They also spoke honestly about the income potential, the retention rate, and the fact that their goal is to set people up for long-term success, not just a 6-month stint. Overall, the process gave me confidence that they want you to succeed and won’t bring you in if they can’t help you do that.
