      Fermentation Engineer Interview

      Oct 3, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Singapore
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Westcom (Singapore)

      Interview

1st round was in their office. They don't even know so many techniques behind fermentation and purification and kept asking me questions. One of them even asked me can I send SOPs of my previous company but I sent in point forms and explained about what I did as they were really acting like going to hire me. Second round again the same thing, so many questions. I felt that it was not genuine because during the first round and in my CV, I have clearly stated about my experience. I have never worked with 100 liter of culture before, only small scale. After second round, the HR called back and said due to lack of fermentation experience, they can't offer the job. I felt cheated cause I sent a file about the steps involved in my lab and during first round I was so clear about my experience. They have wasted my time and HR said they are still in the initial stage so will keep me in priority list. How cunning. I can learn things fast and they mentioned that training is provided in the ad. They are really dishonest.
