My first interview was with a recruiter to provide background info on the company as a whole, while also sharing insight into the strategy and focus of their Trust & Safety team. Thereafter, I meet with another Trust & Safety Sr. Manager via Zoom. They had prepared questions and focused on my background, how I work cross functionally with other teams in previous roles, and people management experience. From there I met with Policy and Product in two back to back 30 minute interviews. After that, I was given a project with 3 days to complete, but was told I could request additional time if needed. My final interview was with the hiring manager. The department head was in the process of leaving the company, so the order of interviews reflected this. When asked, my recruiter hopped on a call to give me some background information that was very helpful.
The recruiter I worked with was incredible from start to finish. I was working a full time job during this time and had taken on new responsibilities when my boss left. So there were a few times I had to reschedule interviews. They were very accommodating and their communication was on point. Consistent but never pushy. It was a lengthy experience, but part of that was due to my circumstances and the winter holidays.
