No communication following submission of CV. Poor manner when approached about the position with MWI. Application completed on the phone but no follow up two months on. Junior consultants need mentoring more as it is a bad reflection of the company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whitehall Resources (Colchester, England) in Apr 2019
Interview
I had a telephone interview and then a face to face interview. I was kept updated throughout all stages of the process and Jenny was so helpful and friendly. The process didn't take very long and I wasn't left in the dark. Jenny was very honest with me and was happy to give extra information and tips which was really refreshing. The face to face interview was with Jenny (Talent Acquisition Lead) and Ellie (HR Manager). Jenny started by giving me a tour of the office which was perfect as I was able to see where I would be working if I were successful. This definitely helped me in confirming that this was the company I wanted to work for. Both managers made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed as possible in what is normally a nerve-wrecking experience. I came out of the interview feeling even more excited and confident that this is where I wanted to be.

Interview
Telephone interview followed by a face to face panel of two senior members of the company. The HR consultant was very informative in regards to preparation for your interview. The interview itself was rather bizarre, intrusive and uncomfortable. It was less of an interview and more of a character assignation. This is a minimum wage job; not a CEO position for a 6 figure salary. One of them had obviously looked me up on Facebook prior to the interview so he could name drop family members who he later looked up on Linkedin. They insisted on knowing every position I applied for other than theirs which I found invasive as I was under no obligation to disclose. Their questions were probing and personal which I found unprofessional. I got real sense of delusions of grandeur during this interview which I found incredibly off putting. I later had another interview for a recruitment agency and mentioned this to them. Apparently they have a reputation of seeing themselves as ‘Woolf of Wallstreet’ characters.
I received a call from the HR consultant a few days later explaining that I didn’t get the job because they felt like I didn’t show enough desire to work for them. She was right, I didn’t want to work for them

Question 1
Who else have you had interviews with? Who have you applied to work with? Why have you applied to work for them?
