First I had a basic phone interview with the company recruiter, followed by an online personality assessment. Then I had another basic phone interview with the Director of Sales. Next I met with the General Manager for the area, and had an hour and a half long interview. The interview questions were typical, and they focused on my background, and skills. I thought that it went very well. At the end I was told that I would be contacted in a couple of days for me to come in for a "branch tour". I sent prompt and professional follow up emails thanking the recruiter, GM, and Director of Sales for their time. I received a call the next day from the recruiter asking how the interview went. I said that it went great, and that the GM wanted to schedule a branch visit. Then they asked me if I was still interested in the job, and if I was talking to any other companies. I reaffirmed my strong interest, and they said that they would get back to me asap to schedule the visit. After two days of silence, I left emails & voice mails, for both the recruiter, and the GM. I did this every 3 days for a couple of weeks. But, I never received any type of response. They ended up hiring a former coworker of mine who ended up only stayed at the company for a couple of months. There is not a doubt in my mind that I would have given them years in this position with positive results!
