The interview process began with a call from the Technical Recruiter, Mr. Viraj, who contacted me via LinkedIn. I was assigned a UX task to complete within four days. I finished the task on time and submitted it to him. Two weeks later, I sent him a follow-up email requesting an update on the interview status, but I have not received a response yet.
As a company, it is crucial to maintain professionalism throughout the recruitment process. Candidates invest their time, effort, and energy to complete assignments and prepare for interviews. If you are unable to provide timely updates, at the very least, communicate clearly and avoid leaving candidates in the dark. Failing to do so not only reflects poorly on the organization but also wastes the time of individuals who are genuinely interested in contributing to your team. Respect for candidates’ time is a fundamental aspect of fostering a positive employer brand.
