Wisconsin Humane Society interview questions

So strange - a automated phone recording you answer questions to but before you start that, you answer a few written questions. The last question asked if you were okay with X salary, basically saying to end the interview right there if you weren't as it was non-negotiable. At that point, I called it quits because the rate was extremely low. It was unfortunate because I had prepped for the interview after reviewing Glassdoor here and doing my own research. I was excited for the opportunity and to not even be given a chance to have an in person salary negotiation to see if that number had any flexibility was very disappointing and I think they are missing out on a lot of talented prospects by doing that.

The first stage is an automated phone interview with no retries, so you only get one take. The in-person interview was pretty fun and in-depth. The interviewers were very upbeat and energetic and despite the process being 55 minutes it just flew by. I was told the position needed to be filled immediately, and that I’d be contacted after everyone is interviewed. I tried to contact the Humane Society twice in the month that followed with no luck, and eventually a generic automated email that they would not be moving forward with my application.
