I interviewed at World Bank Group (Washington, DC)
Interview
The general application process is the following:
1. CV screening
2. Excel exam (1 hour to complete)
3. Panel interview with the team you will be working for
4. Interview with the manager
The interview with the panel is usually divided in 3 parts. The first part is general introduction and questions related to the role you applied. Next is the technical questions. This may vary dependng on the role you applied. For research jobs, you will be asked about the data that the team produces, the report that the team publishes, or other general economic terms. Last is optional depending on the role/your CV, which is the language test. If you are a B2 or higher, you will have no issue passing this part.

Interview
I interviewed for the MNA Fellowship ET Consultant role through a virtual panel interview process.
The interview process was professional and structured. The panel asked a combination of behavioral, experience-based, and role-related questions, with attention to communication skills, relevant experience, and motivation for joining the World Bank Group.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their background clearly, provide concrete examples of past work, and explain how their experience aligns with the role and broader development objectives. The interview format required concise and thoughtful responses, particularly when discussing prior projects and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
One challenge was the highly competitive nature of the process and limited post-interview feedback. While I was not selected, the experience provided useful insight into the organization’s expectations and interview style.
