I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at World Market (Keizer, OR) in Sep 2011
Interview
It started with a group interview made up of about 7 people including myself. We had to answer the normal "why would you be a good fit for World Market?" and "what are your strengths and weaknesses?" questions in front of the others. They explained the World Market Explorer Program to us, and then made us sign up for the program if we hadn't already. Then, we were to find a product in the store to pretend sell it to the manager/supervisor conducting the interview.. They surprised us by having us switch our item with another person and sell that item.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Why did you want to work at World Market?
Easy! Was professional, engaging, and made the experience comfortable. They asked insightful questions, actively listened, and provided clear insights about the role. I left feeling motivated and excited about the opportunity
The process started with a relaxed group interview conducted by two different managers. Typical interview questions were asked such as "What makes you qualified for this position?", "Why are you interested in Cost Plus?", etc. Follow-up individual interview with GM after the group interview and was offered the job on the spot. Managers made the process very comfortable and relaxed compared to other interviews.

My manager was really kind and personable. She showed me around the store and explained the job thoroughly after the initial introduction. It was the least nerve-wracking interview I've ever had.
