      Human Resources Director Interview

      Oct 11, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Albuquerque, NM
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at YFCS (Albuquerque, NM) in Nov 2012

      Interview

Was called after I submitted my resume with application. Had a brief telephone with the CEO. Was called back to do an in person interview with several executive employees. Eash asked several questions about how I felt about a situation or what would I do in a certain situation. Had to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and was required to do a criminal background check before I was offered the HR Director position.

      Question 1

Because Desert Hills, Inc. treats adolescents with a diverse range of mental illness, I was asked how much I could handle if I had to see or hear clients swearing, cussing or trying to self-harm. I was and am able to handle that type of work environment because I grew up in a large family. I also have a family member with autism that I have learned to therapuetically interact with.
