Straightforward with some basic questions. They mainly analyze the writing test that is mandatory to complete. The test itself was pretty broad but they do not give you a deadline which is nice. However, the feedback for the test is vague.
Applied for a senior-level role and was contacted by a member of the company’s talent team via LinkedIn (who initially neglected to identify which company she worked for). I completed a short screening call with the recruiter and was then asked to complete a writing test. It took two days to complete the test and I wasn’t paid for my time. After submitting my response to the test I was rejected for the role, so I asked for feedback. The company declined to provide feedback, saying it had a policy not to give feedback on writing tests. If a company has a policy not to give feedback to candidates who’ve invested time completing tests, it should at least communicate this upfront.
