I was contacted by HR and informed that I would be attending an interview. However, upon arriving at the location, I found that multiple candidates had been called and there was no direct interview initially. Instead, we were asked to complete an assessment consisting of around 12 questions covering SQL, Python, and data warehousing. This assessment requirement was not communicated in advance.
After completing the assessment, I attended a technical/managerial round where the interviewer reviewed my resume in detail and asked questions related to my experience and Python coding. The discussion went well, and I was informed by HR that feedback would be shared.
Despite this, there was no response for nearly three weeks. I had to follow up myself to receive an update. The eventual feedback shared was vague and dismissive: “The candidate is good but not great”, and my candidature was put on hold without any constructive explanation.
