I applied online. I interviewed at Zip Marketing (Berkeley, CA)
Interview
First face to face interview was for about 30 minutes. Questions were basically concerning my exprience with team work, any manegerial roles, and my background. The second interview was about an hour and a half long where they took time to explain the job role, what the training process for new hires and expectations and asking questions to know how i can fit in.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zip Marketing (New Westminster, BC) in Jan 2017
Interview
So many red flags. It was a complete cattle call and I got strong pyramid scheme vibes from the employees and the person interviewing me.
Reading some of the reviews of how sketchy this company is, I'm glad I chose to run for the hills.

Question 1
The questions I was asked were all kindof strange about gave no insight into what the actual job was.
I applied online. I interviewed at Zip Marketing (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
I started off with a phone interview which was standard, then the next week was brought in for an in-person interview. I understood that the office was in Berkeley, which was fine, but since I live in San Francisco and the commute is about 40 minutes, I was disappointed that I stayed for the first interview for LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. I had explained that I would be happy to commute, but for me to travel almost an hour and a half to only stay there for 10 minutes was disappointing to say the least.
For my second interview, I was taken to a nearby coffee shop by two sales executives. Unrelated to the interview process, this company COMPLETELY hides the fact that they are a door-to-door sales company. This is when I learned that this was a door-to-door sales job in which you sold AT&T products as well as cosmetic products. It was not at all what I expected. I was also told that the hours would be from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Saturday.
Lastly, after the second interview, I was told that I would get a call back within the next two days confirming if I got the job or not. They also mentioned that if I didn't answer the phone call, they would offer the job to the next person on their list.
I would NEVER recommend Zip, Inc to anyone looking for a job. Very shady company.
