I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at a la carte solutions in Dec 2022
Interview
There were several step, including a skills test, an initial interview with HR, then peers, then with hiring manager and CEO. I liked the thorough process - ensured the role was a fit for me and ALC could get to know me and feel comfortable I was a fit for their culture and had the KSAs to be successful in the role

Question 1
What is the most satisfying aspect of your job as an accountant?
I applied online. I interviewed at a la carte solutions (San Luis Obispo, CA)
Interview
This was one of the most rigorous interview processes that I've been through in my 25+ year career....but I loved every minute of it. There was an initial phone interview, a live online accounting test, and 5 different interviewers. The process is thorough and incredibly insightful. I learned so much about myself through it all. I was beyond impressed with the talent of the people I met with. You can tell that the company has the most open and honest culture I've ever seen. I can tell that Shirley (the CEO) is absolutely an intuitive leader who would be the best supporter of her people to allow them to thrive at what they do best. Seems like an incredible company all around, and I was very impressed with the talent and culture!
The hiring process requires that you take a Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment. Based on the results of this one assessment, you are deemed worthy or not to move forward to the next round. It is interesting that based on this one assessment, they could possibly disqualify you for the controller position, but assess you as more fitting for a staff position. Leaders come in all sizes and shapes, a simple predictive index could not possibly predict whether someone would be fitting for this role or not.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The behavioral assessment asks you what strengths and abilities you think leaders should have and what others would say you have.
The Predictive Index Assessment results become just one part of a candidate's application. Decisions are made based on a candidate's entire application, which includes the application questions, cover letter, resume, and the assessment results. The assessment results, by themselves, are never the deciding factor.
