I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at allUP (CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
I used the allUP app to record video responses to their questions. Although I felt awkward at first recording myself, after a few questions it got easier and was actually having fun with it. I originally finished the first 5 prompts and ended up recording the two more a couple days later. After submitting my application, I heard back within ~3 days to move forward to a Zoom interview with the CEO.

Interview
I downloaded the allUP app to record my video interviews and honestly found the whole experience novel and delightful. I could retake the videos as many times as I needed, which let me just be myself. After submitting 7 short videos, I got invited to interview with the CEO. Since all the basics were already covered, we were able to jump straight into the big ideas, challenges the team’s working on, and whether we’d be a good fit.

Question 1
"What's your experience working in early stage companies? If you haven't worked in a startup, why would you be successful?"
I was told to download an app and record a video after applying for the job. This is quite possibly the most annoying thing ever - I don't have time to create TV because a recruiter can't make a phone call.

Once your videos are recorded, our team will take a look, provide feedback and make sure your skills and experience are highlighted for the hiring manager.
