I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Seattle, WA)
Interview
I spoke with a recruiter at a Science and Engineering Career Fair and was offered an interview on campus that week. The interview had behavioral and technical questions, and the panel consisted of an experienced engineering manager and a young engineer. I received the offer by phone a week after the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The technical question required some fundamental knowledge of fluid mechanics that was difficult to articulate well before at an early point in my major.
I applied online. I interviewed at bp (Whiting, IN)
Interview
I completed a HireVue interview with bp which is the on demand video interview. It was very awkward talking to no one and not being able to gauge reactions. I did the practice questions beforehand to get used to the medium but it was still difficult.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time you acted in according to one of your core values. What was the core value? How did others react?
Did a recording interview on a computer. Never heard back after it. Seems like the entire system was automated. It would be great if any communication took place after. The questions werre pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at bp (Cairo, Cairo Governorate) in Jul 2023
Interview
Simply, a waste of time, the interviewer was searching for someone who can do his own job, not one with a potential or multiskilled. It was actually a really narrow minded interview mindset
