      Java Software Engineer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Waltham, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at business.com (Waltham, MA) in Aug 2009

      Interview

I was just coming off a full-time, permanent job from a layoff to a full-time position at this company. The previous company was a competitor, and the information I had would have directly benefited them without violating any non-disclosure agreements, I felt I had a lot to offer. I made it on time, in my suit, with copies of my resumes in my had. I met 5 different people in 4 hours, and every single person asked me the same questions. I had to give the same speech 5 different times which was annoying. It was the same question about my previous jobs and projects and the different technologies I had used. At the end, I was escorted out, and I never heard from them again. The recruiter never heard from them ever. I found out from several dozen other recruiters is that how they work ... no feedback. Very unprofessional!!! So, here it is a few years later, and I refuse to meet with them again. I've also made sure I've told my family and friends to avoid them.
