1 round over video. Next round they called me in the office. I understood later why they called. The HR team grilled me through my resume, counting each and every month of my previous experience and asking various personal questions, which was absolutely unnecessary. And at the end, they told me they could only give the salary they are told to, and not even consider my expectation, which they had confirmed time and again over the phone and in the office. In detail: I came for interview for principal product manager. But what I got as a vibe and offer makes me so sad about the Indian product management space in so called app companies. Pathetic. No false claims, just what I saw and felt. Some real feelings - Sales led product that targets poor indians to buy their courses. They have huge sales team - 500+. It means that people are not interested but they are forcing poor people to buy courses in the hope they can make big as farmers, entrepreneurs and finance courses. Another scam in the process of putting India to the fame. These courses or so called traning can be found on youtube for free but these people have made a business out of it. Beware! 9 to 6 strict timing. They will deduct salary if you go early. But no overtime payment. They give only fixed salary. There is no variable component in salary. Enployer EPF contribution is deducted from your salary, which is kinda illegal. HR (Adi) says even Accenture used to do it so he is comfortable for him to do here. They said I have 15 mins break apart from lunch hour and I am free to take it anytime. LoL. They offered me 30% lesser than what I asked for after taking 3 rounds of interview in their office. The HR was counting my years of experience month by month. I am glad these "MALIKS" showed their face during the negotiation otherwise I would have killed myself of depression after joining. CS Sudheer - India is no more a slave country. Stop malpractices and hire better HR who actually knows the value of "human" resources.
