      Project Coordinator Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at geoAMPS (Powell, OH) in Nov 2018

      Interview

First interview was with the company's President & CEO. We had a great conversation and the atmosphere is laid-back and casual. The position I applied for was advertised as a project coordinator position. The position that was described to me was what they call: product support lead - a brand new position including internal team management/training & client-facing project coordination, client training, product troubleshooting & client point of contact. Sounds amazing. I'm a wonderful fit. Second interview, three days later, I met with the company's COO, engineer & Off-Shore Accts Mgr. Easy interview; again, laid-back and casual. After meeting those three during the second interview, the COO said they'd be interested in moving forward. We talked benefits, PTO, salary, and when I could start. The pace of everything seemed to accelerate very quickly. During my second interview I was told several times that the company tends to hire "kids" right outside of college. (Red flag, kinda not sure why that was mentioned several times, assumed salary would be low.) I was also told about culture and morale being low, particularly within the past 6-8 months; management thinking this is due to hiring the "wrong people". Salary ranges are very low, but expectations are very high. Lots of red flags, even though I had an overall positive experience with both my interviews. At this point, I am unsure if I will proceed with employment with the company; I have several reservations.
