I applied in-person. I interviewed at inlingua (Florence) in Sep 2025
Interview
This was an interview on the spot during my visit on site. They explained from the start that the school only hires native speakers. Despite my years of experience in the UK and abroad, and Cambridge qualifications, they suggested I teach my first language instead, despite this not being neither my specialization nor of my interest. They explained the type of contract and conditions of the job, but they remarked how them and other centres in Florence don't want non-native speakers of English. This was a very negative and undermining experience, in which I felt undervalued and unappreciated.
