The interview process was as normal - 3 stages of interviews, all done on site, took ages for them to reply to my application and organise the first interview. I only got to the first round.
On arrival all was good, they offer you free drinks and all that. But when I met with the manager interviewing me it all went wrong. She looked super uninterested and tired (perhaps was her 3rd or 4th interview in a row that day). When I introduced myself she made a joke saying she was laughing with her colleague about my name which reminded them of a character from one movie just before I came in. I found that super inappropriate and insulting. I mean, you should put the candidate at ease and not make them feel uncomfortable at the beginning of the interview.
The questions were super vague - like 'tell me about yourself'... As I said she looked super tired like this interview was a chore for her and she couldn't be bothered. I received feedback after the interview which would be nice if it was constructive but it wasn't. The manager said she felt confused about some of my answers and I suggested if that was the case she could have lifted her head up from the paper she was writing on all interview (or maybe she was sketching ponies there - what do I know) and ask me questions during the interview if something was not clear to her. That's just basic interviewing skills she did not have.
Overall, this experience spoilt the reputation of this company for me. The grass is definitely not greener on their side (and they have lots of grass there in the office).
