The interview process was exceptionally fast and smooth. All interviewers were professional and genuinely nice people. The challenges were highly relevant and applicable to the work. The most technically demanding portion was the take-home coding assessment.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at loveholidays (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process was smooth and fairly easy, and communication throughout was clear. I performed strongly in all rounds, in some cases exceptionally well, and the interviewers seemed genuinely pleased. That’s why the rejection came as a surprise. The feedback I received felt disconnected from the actual discussions, almost like a generic response generated from a few keywords. It gave the impression that the outcome may have already been decided 🤦‍♂️ possibly due to internal preferences, sponsorship, or pay-scale alignment. Considering other reviews, I now understand why several candidates have rated the process low.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were simple and technical — API design, scaling, monitoring. Nothing remotely related to the feedback I later got about being “too delivery focused"
HR call, then took more than 1 month to schedule the next technical call with engineers. Discussed past experience and some questions about coding conventions / design principles. After that, absolute silence without any result / feedback.
