The interview itself was fine on the surface, with the usual questions about experience, expectations, and fit.
What really stood out negatively was the fact that the role is advertised as hybrid, when in reality that is not accurate. During the interview, I was told that for the first 3 months you are expected to be in the office every single day. After that, you are allowed one day per week from home. Only after 6 months can you add a second day, and only much later does the role start to look even remotely like a proper hybrid arrangement.
That means the role is, for all practical purposes, not hybrid in the way most candidates would reasonably understand it when reading the job ad. Listing it that way feels misleading and gives the impression that the label is being used mainly to attract more applicants.
This is something that should be disclosed clearly in the posting from the start, so candidates can make an informed decision before investing their time in the process.
Have that in mind when interviewing with them.
