      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at stack.io in Sep 2024

      Interview

First call with the HR, after that they give me a home-assignment. The deal was if I delivered the test 100% they're going to move forward with me for the next round which will be a review of my home-assignment.

      Question 1

In this stage things was really stupid. They went into my code (Dockerfile) and want to know every line that's was in there. The feedback was "The knowledge/experience with docker can be improved as well" (I forgot to remove one line) - Then we move to the deployment of the containerized application using terraform - I had to split the file because of '---" on .yml file and the feedback was "Unfortunately you showed no knowledge on what some of the code was doing on terraform" - which it's not true, on the script the feedback was "On the automation script, you did not follow the full criteria and made a buggy script that would error in some specific cases." The criteria was not full explicit I did what need's to be done to get things working. Long short story the feedback was: "Overall, we believe your knowledge in this areas are not as good as other candidates so we have moved forward with them" - Which it's not true at all, I've been working with this stack since 2017 and I even wrote an article in my blog back in that time about Docker, the funny thing about this whole thing it was that the guy that asked me technical questions was a Junior back in 2020 where I was already a Senior.
