The recruitment process was incredibly frustrating. After an initial screening, I was asked to complete a time-intensive take-home assignment. Following the submission, the company went completely silent for a month. Despite my follow-up attempts, I received no feedback or status update. It’s clear they don't value candidates' time, which makes me question the company culture as a whole. I’d advise others to be cautious before investing effort here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do take-home project with a required coding language.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at what3words (London, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
-Phone Conversation with HR
-Video call with a Software Engineer
-On-site Interview with CTO, Team Lead, and two Software Engineers (2 parts, 1 hour each)
Basic technical questions were asked, but I felt that they were looking for a person who memorized how data types are structured, Python and Javascript syntax more than concepts. It seem that they want a good coder rather than an engineer.
