I applied online. For transparency concerns I will put all emails they sent. And I will capitalize keywords to make it clearer.
This the first email they sent me “Thanks for your application for the Senior Android Engineer - Mobile Sensors in Digital Health (f/m/x) position at xbird. We LIKED your application and we would like to move forward to the next stage. The next stage consists of a video interview where we can discuss your previous experience and give you more information about the role at xbird.”
Everything looks good, they liked my profile :) And they also let me know it on the following email “As we REALLY LIKED YOU PROFILE, we would like to invite you to SKIP THE FIRST HR INTERVIEW step and continue with the second stage of the interview, which consist of a CODING CHALLENGE.”
So far so good. They sent me the assignment and I spend whole my weekend (2 days) on it to do my best!
So here it is their third email “I am glad to inform you that the Tech team HAS REVIEWED YOUR ANSWER to the coding challenge and HAS LIKED IT. Because of this, they would like to discuss it more in detail in a video call, in which you will also have the opportunity to receive more insights about what xbird”.
Wow they LIKED my profile, they LIKED the way I solved the assignment so I was waiting for the call, but then boom! No feedback, not even saying thanks for all the effort & time I spend for this interview process. And I got this email “After final discussions in the hiring team, we REGRET to let you know that we decided NOT TO CONTINUE FURTHER with your application in this process.”.
Wow this is all? …
At least they could give me feedbacks or what was the thing(s) that did not work or at least a reason for canceling the whole process…
