Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Laser Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CAD/CAM software, technical blueprint reading, and machine operation will ensure high-quality output and efficient production workflows. Duties

• Develop and optimize CNC laser programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA to ensure precise cutting according to detailed schematics and blueprints.
• Set up CNC laser machines, including loading tooling, adjusting parameters, and verifying calibration with precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Operate CNC laser equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC laser machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes utilizing lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
• Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine settings, inspection results, and quality control records.

Experience

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls or other CNC programming languages is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing and programming parts.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, electrical discharge machining (EDM), machining processes, and mechanical schematics.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction on the shop floor.
• Ability to interpret geometric data and apply mathematical concepts related to machining tolerances and geometry for high-quality production outcomes.
